Hop on over to the second annual Lulupalooza! This year we celebrated Lulu’s birthday with a bunny themed tea party.
Catering
This amazing spread was provided by Honey Tea Hive. They specialize in tea party catering. Mika, the owner was a delight to work with. She has a great eye for aesthetics. Everything was delicious and visually stunning!
Custom M&Ms with bunnies and Ls
Salad Bar
I also put together a salad bar to go along with the bunny theme. It was super easy and great for feeding a crowd. Pro tip, order a few trays of Chick-Fil-A nuggets for quick and easy protein (it was a hit!)
Decor
Want to know one of my best party hacks for large gatherings? Go to Walmart and get a bolt of fabric to use as table cloths. The basic cotton fabric is like $3 per yard and comes in a million different colors. I lined up my rectangular picnic tables end to end to save on fabric.
Petting Zoo
A bunny party with real live bunnies? Yes please! Throw in some mini goats, chickens, and a micro pig?? Shut up and take my money already. I got the petting zoo through Ivie Acres Farm. Their Barnyard Friends party package was perfect for my needs. You can even customize the package (I added extra bunnies).
Rentals
The white castle bounce house, slide and ball pit were rented from Party Fun Utah. They also did all the custom balloon arrangements. I think the slide and ball pit were the heroes of the party. The kids LOVED it. The ball pit comes with a base of white balls, but they also have a variety of colored balls you can mix in to fit the look of your party.
Balloons are priced by the foot and Nat (the owner) sent me several mockups of the arrangements before she made them so that I could be sure the colors were perfect. I ended up using 40 ft of balloons in total – 10 on each side of the slide, 14 on the bounce house, and 6 on the dessert cart.
Speaking of the dessert cart. I actually bought that off Etsy! It comes apart in pieces for easy storage, doesn’t require tools for assembly, and looks super cute. I’ll definitely use it for future parties.
The light up marquee number 2 is from AlphaLit.
I set up a little picnic area with toys and a sensory table (not pictured) for the babies and small toddlers.
The Cake
I got Lulu’s birthday cake and cupcakes from Sweet Tooth Fairy. Their ordering system is a little clunky, but totally worth dealing with for possibly the best tasting cake I’ve ever had. Seriously though, they won Cupcake Wars a few years back. It’s legit.
Fashion
I’d just like to take a moment for this absolutely perfect bunny print dress from Trotters London. My blue floral dress is from Reformation (I stitched up the slit a little).
Party Favors
I had two different party favors, the first was this cute little tea pot box filled with custom M&Ms, and the second was a mini plush bunny. I love this personalized keepsake trunk. I bought it to store all of Lulu’s special baby clothes, but it ended up being perfect for holding party favors!
